History of God’s work through Gateway
Gateway Open Bible has been in Beloit for over 55 years.
Gateway Open Bible Church was started in 1960 by Kenneth Brooks. He, his wife, and young daughter moved to Beloit by the leading of the Holy Spirit and began a church plant without any connections to the community.
The first service of “Beloit Open Bible was held on March 20, 1960, at the YMCA, where they met for a year before moving to a new location on the corner of House and Moore in Beloit.
On September 6, 1977, the Open Bible Church moved into a school at the corner of Bushnell and Park Ave. (Now Rock County Christian School)
In 1990, Maranatha Open Bible was moved to its current location at the corner of Spring Creek Rd. and HWY 213/Madison Rd. The property was actually purchased by Pastor DeJaynes in May

In 2000, the church began planning an addition to the building and the new sanctuary was added to the building.
Gateway is a church of great heritage with many prophetic words over it.
In 2017, we welcomed a new pastor as we go through a season of change and rebirth in order to continue the work of the Lord for many generations to come.
Sincerely,
The Gateway Family
